Tohoku University Technology: Sound Space Resynthesis Prompt System: T19-378
Experience the excitement of being in a theater or stadium while staying at home!!
As a technology for recording and reproducing sound spaces with a sense of presence from other locations, a method has been used where the recorded sound from microphones placed on a dummy head is played back to the listener. However, there were issues with cost and noise interference due to the need to move the dummy head in response to the listener's head movements. The present invention is a technology that can present faithful sound spatial information without moving the dummy head, thereby enabling the reproduction of a highly immersive sound space for multiple listeners, allowing them to experience a sense of presence as if they were in a theater or stadium while, for example, being at home.
